I can’t think of any life form that exists without movement. Movement can be visible to our naked eye or visible to sensitive instruments we use to measure what we can’t see. Movement does not only take place in the physical realm; movement is also an essential quality in emotional wellbeing and spiritual relationship. Movement has the capacity of multidimensionality and choice, otherwise we get stuck in one way of doing, being, feeling, living. From the macro to the micro level, movement is essential to existence.
For we humans, how we feel about how we move shapes our sense of well-being and pleasure for living, and our self-image.
“Movement is life. Life is a process. Improve the quality of the process and you improve the quality of life itself.” (Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais)
